A. One economic problem was the government because of the land gained by Rome in the wars, the senate and nobles became powers because of their role in foreign relations. As a result, Rome had to develop a system of gevernemnt to run separate provinces of newly acquired territory. However, it was found that leaders began to steal from the provinces.
B. Another economic problem that resulted from the wars was the shift in agriculture. Independent farms could not compete with cheap imported grains which were tributes paid by conquered lands. Latifundia also took away from agriculture, the cause of this was the gap between the rich and poor increasing. Since farms were gone, and they had a lot of land, the labor was starting to be supplied by gangs of slaves.
C. Lastly, one social problem was the Roman ideal after the wars having farmers kicked of their lands, and more citizens becoming jobless weakened the ideas of discipline and devotion to the Roman state. Also Rome became subject to a variety of cultures and therefore underwent cultural diffusion in a slew of aspects.
